MORE than £1,500 was raised by bargain-hunting fashionistas at a Ladies Night event in Neyland last month.

Twice a year the wonderful volunteers at the town's Paul Sartori shop host an evening of fashion and fundraising, with wine, nibbles and a raffle.

The events are organised by store supervisor Maggie John and her team of loyal volunteers, and provide an important extra boost for the charity's coffers.

Paul Sartori's retail stores generate more than 50 per cent of the money required to run its hospice at home service.

These services are available free of charge to people living in the later stages of any life limiting illness, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

“Maggie and her team go above and beyond expectation and it is easy to see why Maggie won the charity’s volunteer of the year award this year,” said Sandra Dade, Charity Manager at Paul Sartori.

The Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Service provides a range of services to Pembrokeshire people living in the final stages of a life limiting illness, including home nursing care, equipment loan, complementary therapy, bereavement and counselling support, clinical nurse specialist in palliative care, physiotherapy, advance care planning and training.
