A MILFORD Haven councillor has praised members of the public for raising the issue of road safety in Marble Hall Road.
At a meeting on Thursday, December 6, councillors discussed concerns about drivers parking on the junction with Great North Road.
Local residents Angela and Mark Ryan approached the Mercury last month, with CCTV footage and images showing a number of incidents where vehicles were parked across pavements and double yellow lines.
The couple are fearful an accident is imminent, due to pedestrians having to walk in the middle of the road and other road users struggling to see oncoming traffic.
Town councillors voted to write to the Trunk Road Agency and Pembrokeshire County Council, asking for a meeting to discuss how to improve the situation.
Suggestions on how to alleviate the problem include extending railings along the junction to protect walkers.
