A 'NAUGHTY' novel set in Milford Haven has raised more than £2,100 to the Paul Sartori hospice at home charity. 'The Games People Play... in Milford' tells the story of John and Teri Butler, two of the town's most respected citizens, who have made plans to enjoy a naughty Friday night of 'hanky-panky'.

But it's Friday the 13th, and the escapade turns into a bit of a nightmare.

"The response has been that it's one of my funniest books," said author Jeff Dunn, who is best known for his regular 'That Reminds Me...' column in the Milford Mercury.

Speaking after presenting a cheque to Toni Dorkings of the Paul Sartori Foundation on Friday, December 14, Jeff said: "I'm just grateful that people have enjoyed what I've written and have been able to help this cause, which is so close to my heart.

"My mum died of cancer and I know what families go through in those last moment of someone's life."

Mercury writer Jeff Dunn has raised more than £40,000 for the charity over the last 25 years, through the sale of seven charity books.

Previous titles included Tony and the Dream Searcher, which raised £1,730 for Paul Sartori in 2016, and It's all write by me, which clocked up £2,300 in 2017.

Anyone looking for a last-minute stocking filler can still pick up a copy of Jeff's latest offering from Milford News/Best One in Charles Street, which has been selling the book since June.
