MORE than 2,000 animals were helped by rescue charity Greenacres last year.
As well as celebrating its 10th anniversary, Greenacres found homes for 301 dogs, 193 cats and a whole host of other animals - from the smallest of hamsters to the largest of horses.
The number of cats needing help fell, however 2018 was 'year of the lurcher', with more than 100 sight hound types - including whippets and greyhounds - needing support from Greenacres.
Sadly one lonely lurcher is still looking for someone to love him.
Winston is a two-year-old brindle pup who loves walks and loves to sleep even more.
Despite his friendly nature, he is yet to find his forever home.
