MILFORD Haven Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets held their fourth annual awards presentation night at the Pill Social and Community Centre on February 22.

The evening was to honour those with trophies from 2018, badges and certificates and also to celebrate a fantastic year for the unit.

The District Officer for West Wales, Lieutenant Commander (SCC) Sue Gittins RNR and the Deputy Mayor of Milford Haven, Councillor Terry Davies and the 5 Troop Commander, Lieutenant (SCC) Mark Flude RMR were the principal guests and awards presenters for the evening.

Lieutenant (SCC) William Elliott RNR, the Commanding Officer, said: “The annual awards evening continues to be a huge success, with many families and friends coming to support their cadets.

"The awards are very difficult to pick as we have a fantastic group of young people within our Unit. "We also celebrated the evening by looking at the previous year’s achievements, including our first ever nominations into the National Awards, new promotions and experiences for our cadets.”.

The unit was particularly thankful to the Deputy Mayor, District Officer and Troop Commander for their attendance and support of the evening and presented them with a gift as a thank you on the evening.

The Pill Social and Community Centre, and all the attendees of the evening, also made it a fantastic evening for all.
