HOSPICE at home charity Paul Sartori has had a more than £10,000 boost thanks to the determined efforts of an Angle woman.

Long-time Paul Sartori supporter Joanne Lutwyche has been organising and holding events all in aid of the Pembrokeshire charity since 2014.

Her events ranged from garden shows and Angle New Year’s Day Swims to bingo.

Joanne has raised a staggering £10,643.58 over the last 5 years.

Joanne chose to support Paul Sartori after it supplied vital equipment for her mum to come home when she was unwell, this meant that Joanne’s mum was able to spend her final days at home with her family around her.

The bereavement support and complementary therapies were other services which Joanne was unaware of prior to using Paul Sartori Hospice at Home.

“I would like to thank everyone who has helped me at all of the events over the last five years,” said Joanne. “It would not have been possible without all of the support” continued Joanne.

Clinical Team Manager at Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Laura Hugman said: “It is through the generosity and determination of local people like Joanne that we can continue to provide this much needed service for anyone in the later stages of any life-limiting illness. The services are available free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”

The Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Service provides a range of services to Pembrokeshire people living in the final stages of a life limiting illness, including home nursing care, equipment loan, complementary therapy, bereavement and counselling support.
