A Milford Haven man has been told to change his ways after he admitted stealing a Lego Harry Potter set.
Ian Michael Power, of Larch Road, Mount Estate, was due to stand trial at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Monday, April 15, but pleaded guilty at the start of the hearing.
Abul Hussain, prosecuting, said Power stole a £7.99 watch from Argos, Pembroke Dock, on August 18, before purchasing items, and picked up a £14.99 Lego Harry Potter set from a display counter as he left the store.
Power, 43, was identified from CCTV footage and arrested.
The court heard he had previous similar convictions.
Jonathan Webb, defending, said: “Mr Power wants to get on with his life and put this behind him, these matters are historic.”
Magistrates imposed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered Power to pay £22.98 compensation, £300 costs and a £20 surcharge.
The chairman of the bench said: “You have got to modify your behaviour.”
