A YACHT, stuck some 13 miles from the coast, was rescued by lifeboat in a five-hour mercy mission on Wednesday.
Posting on Facebook, St Davids Lifeboat RNLI wrote: “The volunteer crew of St Davids RNLI all-weather lifeboat Norah Wortley undertook a five-hour rescue of a 7.5m yacht which needed assistance about 13 miles west of St Davids Head.
“The lifeboat launched at 3.15pm on Wednesday, April 17, to the two-person crew of the yacht which had power failure and was unable to make headway under sail against the tide.
“The lifeboat took about half an hour to reach the vessel which was then taken in tow to Milford Haven marina, arriving at 8.15pm. The lifeboat returned to station at 9.25pm.
