The D-Day landings are being commemorated in miniature at an exhibition in Milford Haven.

The exhibition, mounted by the Haverfordwest Wargaming Club opened on Bank Holiday Monday, May 27.

A 1/72nd model display showing all the military equipment used on the historic beach landings will feature in the exhibition.

The exhibition is being held at the Old Customs House on Nelson Quay, next door to the museum in Milford Haven and entry is free.

Milford Haven resident and wargamer Peter Swales said: “There will be around 100 handmade models on display giving a true picture of the scale of the enterprise.

"All the models on show have been made by WW2 enthusiast and veteran wargamer Andy Williams and have been historically researched and well detailed.”

Andy added: “We would like to the thank the Milford Haven Port Authority for their generosity in allowing us to use this space for our exhibition and it will be open from Monday, May 27, to Saturday, June 1, from 10.00am till 4.00pm.

"The Wargaming Club which meets every Wednesday at the Haverfordwest Cricket Club from 7pm to 11pm and welcomes anyone who would like to come and have a chat and join in the fun.”
