NEYLAND Yacht Club’s fundraising for essential safety equipment has been boosted, following financial support from the South Hook LNG Community Fund.
The Club has been able to purchase a replacement safety boat, helping to keep the young sailors safe on the water.
Safety is the utmost importance to all those who are involved with junior sailing at the Club, and safety principles are instilled in the children and young people that take part. The Club is a recognised training centre with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and high safety standards are essential in delivering sailing and powerboat activities.
Mariam Dalziel, PR Manager, South Hook LNG explained: “The South Hook LNG Community Fund, in partnership with Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS), supports local community projects that promote values such as safety, environment, education and wellbeing.”
Mariam added:, “These values are central to the philosophy at Neyland Yacht Club and we are delighted that we are able to help the club in this way.”
