THE CARNIVAL returned to the streets of St Ishmaels over the weekend, bringing colour and music to the village on a bright Saturday afternoon.

St Ishmaels Carnival took place on Saturday, July 20, with floats, walkers and even a horse and rider taking part in the procession.

The carnival left north hall at 2pm, with the carnival royalty at the front alongside Pembrokeshire's premier samba band, Samba Doc.

Following them was a host of floats based around different themes, including musical legends and Aladdin.

There were also many walking entries in the carnival, including a group dressed as the 101 dalmations and an Evel Knievel on a pushbike.

After the procession there was entertainment and stalls at the field, beginning with a performance by the TishVibes dance group.

There were also local craft stalls, a sweets stall, a fun fair, barbecue and tea tent.

The carnival committee will next be hosting a Christmas Fayre in November, with all proceeds will be going to Coastlands School for a trip to Disneyland.
