An event that ensures no one is alone on Christmas day has received a massive boost from a Milford Haven supermarket.

Councillor Guy Woodham and cllr Colin Sharp received a cheque for £4,000 from the Tesco’s Bag for Help scheme.

The money will be used to guarantee the Christmas Together will go ahead this year.

Christmas Together is an annual event run on Christmas Day at the Pill Social Centre, Milford Haven for anyone that would be on their own on Christmas Day.

Running since 2012, the event has continued to go from strength to strength, with more than 100 people coming together to celebrate on what can be the loneliest day of the year.

The event is open to all ages and is free of charge and includes a three-course meal, entertainment and transport can all be arranged.

Stacey Price, service manager and Debbie Mills, community champion presented the cheque to the pair on Friday, August 30.

If you or someone you know will be on their own, please email Guy Woodham at Christmastogether@hotmail.co.uk or message Christmas Together Facebook Page.
