A MANORBIER man has been acquitted of unlawful wounding following a disturbance in a Milford Haven pub famous for its early opening hours.

Trouble flared in the Trafalgar pub just before 7am on October 21 last year which resulted in three people receiving injuries.

Swansea Crown Court heard many of the customers in the premises had gone to the Charles Street bar after spending the night at the Circles club, which had shut at 6am.

Aaron Peniket was accused of lashing out after being asked to leave the Trafalgar by the landlady, assaulting one woman then hitting a man with a snapped pool cue and throwing a glass ashtray at another.

The 30-year-old, of Hounsell Avenue, denied two counts of inflicting grievous bodily harm and one count of battery saying there had been a disturbance in the bar but he had played no part in it, and had assaulted no one.

He was found not guilty following a week-long trial.
