A LADIES’ fashion evening in Milford Haven raised over £800 for farming charity R.A.B.I.

The Pembrokeshire committee of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I) held the fashion evening at ‘Image By Vanessa’ in the Milford Marina.

The event was well attended, with guests enjoying a glass of prosecco and nibbles whilst admiring the many outfits modelled on the night. They were also able to buy outfits at discounted prices.

R.A.B.I supports farming people of all ages, giving out grants of around £2 million each year in Wales and England. In 2018, R.A.B.I gave out more than £33k in Pembrokeshire alone. To fund its work, R.A.B.I relies heavily on donations and events organised by voluntary committees, businesses, community groups and fundraising staff.

R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, Linda Jones, said: “I would like to thank our volunteers in Pembrokeshire for once again organising a fabulous fundraising night. Our voluntary committees are the lifeblood of R.A.B.I and we appreciate the enthusiasm and dedication shown by them to help others less fortunate than themselves.”

Pembrokeshire county chair Emily Davies added: “Thanks to Vanessa, her staff and the models for another wonderful evening. This was our third fashion show at ‘Image By Vanessa’ and as always, it was a super event. We are truly grateful for the support we receive in Pembrokeshire."
