A DRINK-driver has been banned from the roads for 17 months and fined after being caught at Synod Inn.
Richard Alan Baitson, of Salem, Llandeilo, was stopped while driving a Vauxhall Corsa on the A487 at Synod Inn on December 14. He had 62 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre. As well as the 17-month driving ban, Baitson was fined £583, with £85 costs and a £58 victim surcharge.
