A Ferwig driver has been banned for 12 months
AN 18-year-old motorist has been banned for a year for drink-driving.
Dafydd Lloyd Davies, of Ferwig, was driving a Ford Fiesta on the B4570 at Tandderwen on December 6 when he was caught. Davies had 44 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Davies pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol when he appeared at Aberystwyth Justice Centre, where as well as the 12-month driving ban, he was fined £80, with £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
