ANTISOCIAL driving in Neyland was again highlighted on Wednesday night in a TV documentary on channel 5.

The ‘At war with the noise next door’ programme followed one resident who had complained to Pembrokeshire County Council about the noise coming from youths driving in Neyland Marina car park.

Drivers were seen revving their engines and spinning around late at night and the matter has been passed on to the police.

Officers have already issued a number of warnings for dangerous driving in the area and also have the power to seize a car should a warning not be adhered to.

On Thursday morning, Neyland Town Council released figures from their speed sign on Honeyborough Road which showed that motorists were largely sticking to the limit.

The town council released the figures which showed 59% of drivers are travelling at speeds between 26-30mph.

A further 24% are travelling between 21-25mph but there are still some going over the limit.

11% were recorded as having driven between 31-35mph and 1% of drivers were recorded travelling between 36-40mph.

The town council said on their Facebook page: “Thank you Neyland drivers for keeping Neyland a safer town.”

At their next meeting on Monday, March 2, the town council will also be discussing placing a speed sign on the Promenade.
