MILFORD Haven and Neyland Town Councils have both cancelled events because of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Neyland have had to postpone their Easter Egg hunt while Milford’s Memorial service on April 3 has also been postponed.

Both say that the decisions have been taken in the best interests of their residents.

Neyland Town Council posted on their Facebook page: “Due to the Coronavirus situation all Neyland Town Council events are cancelled until further notice.

“This includes the Neyland Heroes presentation event on March 18, the Mayor's Tea, Cakes and bingo on March 25 and the Easter Egg hunt on Easter Saturday.

“The Mayor has reluctantly made this decision but it is in the best interests of Neyland residents at this present time.”

A spokesperson for Milford Haven Town Council said: “Due to the current situation with the Coronavirus issues the Mayor, Councillor Terry Davies, has decided to cancel any Milford Haven council events until further notice, all of which will be reviewed in due course.

“This includes the Memorial Service at the Cemetery on April 3, 2020, and the Citizens' Awards Ceremony.

“The Mayor has made this decision with the best interests of the Milford Haven residents in mind at this present time.”
