A LLANGOEDMOR driver caught speeding at almost double the 30mph limit has been fined and his licence endorsed.
Fergus Leighton Ronald Davies, 42, had pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking the speed limit under the single justice procedure when his case was heard at an earlier hearing at Llanelli magistrates' court.
Davies admitted driving a Vauxhall Vivaro at 56mph in a 30mph zone on the A484 at Rhos, Llandysul, at 1.37pm on February 27.
He was back before the court at Aberystwyth Justice Centre as magistrates were considering a possible disqualification but instead he was fined £400, with six penalty points added to his driving licence.
Davies was also ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £40 victim surcharge.
