A music event with a lot of heart is taking place tonight, as top Pembrokeshire bands get together to raise money for the charity Little Hearts Matter.

Dave Critten, of Pembrokeshire band One Room Down, had a special reason for organising tonight's gig at Milford Haven's Imperial: His son Danny was born with half a heart (hypoplastic left heart syndrome) in April 2003.

In his four years Danny has had to undergo three rounds of major surgery and the Evans-Critten family are grateful to all the support they have received from Little Hearts Matter.

"Danny is continuing to do very well," said his mum Claire.

"He celebrated his 4th birthday in April and since September he has started attending school full time, and is coping with this very well.

"He still loves doing all the things that most children like doing - running, playing football, riding his bike and scooter, and he still loves making a noise on his guitar and drums! So he follows his Dad in that respect.

"We raise money for this charity because of all the support they gave us when Danny was born."

Other bands playing tonight are: Persona B, Order 66, The Leftovers, The Devils Answerand Dust and Bones.

Doors open at the Imperial at 7.30pm, entry is £5 and open to over 16s only.
