There have been 310 new coronavirus recorded in the Hywel Dda Health Board area according to the latest figures today (Tuesday, October 12).

The latest data shows there were 165 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 119 in Pembrokeshire and 26 in Ceredigion since the last report.

The total number of cases across the three counties now stands at 34,383 – 20,788 in Carmarthenshire, 9,019 in Pembrokeshire and 4,576 in Ceredigion.

There were no new Covid-related deaths recorded in the Hywel Dda area since the last report, with the total standing at 531 throughout the pandemic.

In total 2,047 new cases of coronavirus and one new Covid-related death have been reported across Wales bringing the national total to 384,250 cases and 5,974 deaths.

There have been 17,051 tests done across the country since the last report.

Across Wales 2,401,771 people have had their first dose of covid-19 vaccine and 2,230,674 have had their second dose and are fully vaccinated.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is no longer updating its vaccination reports with invitations for third ‘booster’ doses now going out to residents across the three counties in priority order.
