Pembrokeshire Digital Connections is launching a training programme to help people improve their digital skills, and be confident and safe online.

Being delivered by Digital Communities Wales, with support from Pembrokeshire County Council, Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services and Hywel Dda University Health Board, the training focuses on digital topics including:

  • Online Safety and Fake News – November 12
  • Social Media and Community Engagement – November 17
  • Digital Health and Wellbeing – November 19
  • Critical Thinking and Resilience – November 22
  • Essential Internet Skills – November 25
  • Helping People to Get Online and Digital Champions – November 29/December 1
  • Using the Internet to Learn New Skills – December 6
  • Using Teams – December 8/9

Learning Pembrokeshire also runs a course for people who have never used a computer but who would like to have a go.

All sessions are free and have been designed to support people to feel more confident using the internet and digital technology.

Whilst much of our daily lives have moved online, it is estimated that 10 per cent of people in Wales are not online, and many people online do not feel they have the adequate skills.
