Goodwick United scored their 40th goal of the Pembrokeshire League Division One season in their ninth game as another victory sees them sitting on 27 points, almost double the points of second-placed Clarbeston Road on 14.

There were four different goalscorers for the runaway leaders, along with an own goal, which helped them win 5-0 away at Neyland.

Second and third placed Clarbeston Road and Fishguard Sports both played in the two other league games at the weekend, but neither could claim three points.

Fishguard Sports let their lead slip twice in a 2-2 draw away at Hundleton, while a late penalty from Merlins Bridge was the final goal in a 3-3 encounter at home to Clarbeston Road.

Several Division One sides were involved in other competitions. In the West Wales Intermediate Cup Round Two, Shane Walsh’s hat-trick helped Hakin United win 4-1 away at Clase Social.

Meanwhile, in the Senior Cup Round Two, Sam Christopher scored a hat-trick for Carew at home to Lawrenny in a 7-2 win, while Division Two side Kilgetty beat St Ishmaels 3-0.
