A new collection of eco champions in Wales were crowned at The National Environmental Awards last night.

Celebrating those going the extra mile to fight climate change, the Western Power Distribution and GPT Environmental-sponsored event saw a total of 13 prizes up for grabs.

Big winners at Rougemont School in Newport included Laura Parry and Liz Carnevale of Sero Zero Waste, who walked away with not one but two awards.

The duo, who triumphed at last year’s inaugural ceremony, picked up the Environmental Entrepreneur Award and Retailer of the Year gong.

They were also a finalist in the Outstanding Organisation Award category, which was won by the Rhug Estate, a runner-up in three categories last year.
