Police investigating an alleged sexual assault at Newton Aycliffe railway station have released an image of a man they would like to trace.
The British Transport Police spokesperson said: "At around 7pm yesterday (Monday) a woman waiting in the shelter at the station was approached by a man who asked if she had seen his dog.
"After walking off the man returned to the shelter and sexually assaulted the woman.
"Officers believe the man in the image may have information that could help with their investigation."
