A Pembrokeshire man has been charged with ill-treating a child and causing unnecessary suffering or injury.
John Jenkins of Hundleton appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court earlier this week.
The 58-year-old was accused of assaulting or ill-treating, neglecting or abandoning a child or young person to cause unnecessary suffering or injury.
The offence is alleged to have taken place on November 26 2022 at Jameston.
Jenkins indicated that he would plead guilty to the charge.
Magistrates adjourned sentencing until later this month for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and to allow Jenkins to meet with the probation service.
