A COUNTY COUNCILLOR who last week apologised for drink driving has decided to step down from her position.
Kate Becton was banned from driving for two years by magistrates in Haverfordwest after hearing how she was three times over the drink drive limit when she crashed her car into a neighbour’s house.
Ms Becton said: “My behaviour in driving my car whilst over the alcohol limit was completely unacceptable and I once again apologise, particularly to the residents of Pembroke Dock Central. It has been a privilege to represent Pembroke Dock Central and I know that whoever represents them in the future will receive the support and encouragement that I have had.”
