SOME 60 dapper distinguished gents donned their cravats and pressed their tweed on Sunday for a classic motorcycle ride, raising awareness of, and funds for, prostate cancer and men’s mental health.

The event, starting at Saundersfoot harbour, was part of the international Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, which saw nearly 120,000 ‘gentlefolk’ riders take part worldwide.

Pembrokeshire Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride has been running for four years and this year raised £3,761 for charities.

There were 60 riders who represented Pembrokeshire, where classy and classic motorcycles, along with their equally classy and classic riders, delighted onlookers.

Steve Dean, of the Distinguished Gentlemen, said: “We left Saundersfoot Harbour, travelling around the county to raise awareness, stopping at Tesco's Pembroke Dock, Tesco Milford Haven and Tesco Haverfordwest, the populated areas on a Sunday.

“Marshalling assistance was greatly received from Blood Bikers Wales and a recovery van was donated for the day from Celtic Scooters and Motorcycles.

“Organisers are Steve Dean, Justin Gottwaltz, Alun Williams, Phil Harries and the Blood Biker team.”
