THE driver of a vehicle stopped near Carew, where drugs worth potentially worth thousands of pounds, were seized by police, has been reported for a string of offences.

Two arrests were made when police stopped the vehicle back in August.

Posting on Twitter at the time, Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit (Pembs RPU) wrote: “Vehicle stopped near Carew on Thursday evening. Both occupants arrested for possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.

“Driver also arrested for drug and disqualified driving and no insurance. Approximately 93g of what we believe to be Class A drugs were seized.”

Pembs RPU have now stated: “Driver has now been reported for offences of: driving whilst unfit through cannabis, driving whilst disqualified, driving whilst uninsured, obstruct police, and possession of cannabis. He remains under investigation for other offences committed at the time of the stop.”

On Friday, October 19, Pembs RPU was involved in a further drugs-related vehicle stop, this time in the north of the county.

Posting on Twitter on Saturday, Pembs RPU wrote: “Vehicle stop checked just outside Crymych late last night due to having a defective brake light. Approximately 20g of cannabis located within the vehicle, driver also tested positive for cannabis. Bloods taken at custody and cannabis warning issued.”
