CUSTOMERS aren't able to bank on a quick visit when they queue up for the new mobile NatWest van in Narberth.

The van - parked up for just 45 minutes a week - has replaced the bank's High Street branch which shut in June.

Being in queues of up to 30 people has left customers seeing red as they wait in the car park of the town's Bloomfield Centre.

And the loan of umbrellas is all the shelter than can be offered when it rains.

Said one disgruntled customer: "Before now, I have been here 20 minutes before opening time, and still been eleventh in the queue.

"The alarm goes off at the end of the 45 minutes and they can't do any more banking; it's incredible."

Angry customers have got in touch with MP Simon Hart to complain about long queues and to say that the facility is too far to walk out of town for older people.

Mr Hart has now contacted NatWest to request the mobile bank visits Narberth twice a week.
