CHRISTMAS has been a time for costumes and festivity at Golden Grove School-Ysgol Gelli Aur.

Pupils from Dosbarth Gwyrdd ( Green Class), avid fans of the S4C Children’s Program CYW were delighted to go to a special CYW roadshow event in Llandysul to meet the characters from the show.

The pupils dressed up costumes and spent time singing and dancing during the show. Undoubtedly one of the highlights was the appearance of Sion Con.

Costumes have been been a feature of the school recently with all classes performing concerts for families and friends.

From traditional Nativity performances to to more modern takes the pupils have sung and narrated the Christmas Story beautifully.

Pupils from the Golden Grove Drama Club and staff members joined in to perform the wonderful pantomime Aladdin at Ysgol Harri Tudur.

With spectacular costumes and fun and games on stage it was a great event with polished performances.
Members of the school choir attended Valero to entertain the staff.

After performing the concert they were treated to lunch in the canteen.

Head Teacher Andy Williams said: “Pupils have enjoyed all their varied performances telling and celebrating Christmas . Their costumes and performances have been a credit to them and the hard work done by staff members and parents.”
