PEOPLE of all ages and backgrounds are invited to take part in a series of LGBT-based workshops this weekend.

Sita Thomas (Channel 5 presenter and staff director at the National Theatre) is working with composer Phoebe Osborne to put together a piece of physical theatre called Queer Tales.

It will share stories of LGBT+ people, past and present, from across west Wales.

Sita and Phoebe both grew up in Pembrokeshire, and they want to weave personal experiences with music and movement to tell stories, to inspire empathy and build on the community’s sense of pride.

The team is particularly interested in working with people of all ages and backgrounds who share a connection with the LGBT+ community.

There will be drama and music workshops tomorrow (Saturday, January 5) and Sunday, January 6, at spacetocreate in Haverfordwest.

There will also be space to socialise, and people can share their stories, which will all feed into the development of this new piece of theatre.

Said the pair: "Our aim is to contribute to the theatrical canon of LGBT+ work, to create theatre that is particular to our home of Pembrokeshire.

"We hope to share stories about people past and present, to explore where we are today, and consider how attitudes can shift and change towards a positive future."
