ROAD closures are in place on the A477 into Neyland tonight (Friday) after an accident.
It is understood a collision involving two cars has taken place and police, fire and ambulance are at the scene.
It is understood one of the drivers has been cut free from the vehicle and is receving medical attention.
The accident happened between WP Lewis car dealership and Crossways service station, shortly after 6pm.
One witness told us: "All I saw was an extra set of headlights and started to slow and then the crash happened so I emergency stopped - thankfully I stopped in time.
"People got our of their cars to help and phone the ambulance.
"Thankfully a St Johns Ambulance was in the traffic so could help."
The road is closed both ways.
