WORKS on a west Wales railway level crossing, expected to be closed part of February and March, have been postponed.
It had been planned to undertake the works at Whitland railway crossing in order for Network Rail to renew the crossing barriers and display lights.
It was planned for the crossing to close at 10pm on February 15, reopening 6am-8pm daily from February 18-22, with closures up until March 4.
A spokesman for Network Rail said: “The renewal work due to take place at the level crossing has been postponed until further notice.
“As a result, the diversion route will no longer be in place and no temporary closures of the crossing are planned.
“We will keep residents informed of further developments regarding this project.”
