THE keen response to an upcoming charity event in Tenby featuring Welsh funnyman Rhod Gilbert has led to extra tickets being released.
Rhod is taking time out from his UK stand-up tour to host 'Pembrokeshire's Funniest Comedy Quiz' at the De Valence Pavilion on Saturday evening (March 16).
All proceeds from the event will be in aid of the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff. Rhod has raised over £1million for the centre since becoming a patron of the charity.
Saturday's quiz night is being staged by former Pembrokeshire police officer, Anthony Mattick of Saundersfoot, whose friendship with Rhod goes back to their schooldays in Carmarthen.
The night is being sponsored by Pembrokeshire Wealth Management of Saundersfoot, who are inviting teams of six, at £25 per head, to take part.
Tickets are available by emailing anthony.mattick@sky.com
