A Pembrokeshire-born escapologist had viewers on the edge of their seats with his death-defying act on Britain’s Got Talent last night.
Jonathan Goodwin performed a terrifying escape act on the popular ITV show, inspired by the great Harry Houdini.
He announced to the stunned panel of judges that he planned to attempt to attempt to escape from a straitjacket while hanging upside down.
Jonathan said he was going to ‘kick it up a notch’ by setting himself on fire rather than the rope, before getting into the straitjacket and being doused in fuel.
With a fire extinguisher standing by, the tense audience watched as he was suspended upside down and set alight, with the warning ‘do not try this at home’.
The dangerous feat came to an end when he got himself free and grabbed the extinguisher to the delight of the crowd, who joined the four judges in giving him a standing ovation.
