A HAVERFORDWEST man is to stand trial accused of inflicting "horrendous, life-changing injuries" to a local footballer.
Steven Dockerty, aged 27, appeared at Swansea crown court today, April 18, for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Dockerty, of Freemans View, Merlins Bridge, denied causing Kristian Speake grievous bodily harm on February 10 of last year.
Ian Wright, prosecuting, said it was a "single punch" issue which led to Mr Speake's head striking a pavement kerb or the road surface.
Judge Geraint Walters described his injuries as horrendous and the consequences as devastating.
Dockerty was granted bail until his trial on June 26.
