A gram of cannabis cost a Goodwick man £155.
Stephen Oldhoff, of Plas y Gamil, pleaded guilty to Class B drug possession when he appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday, April 16.
Vaughan Pritchard-Jones, prosecuting, told the court that officers could smell cannabis when they conducted a routine stop-check on a car driven by Oldhoff, 20, in Fishguard on March 26.
“He produced a cannabis grinder and a search of the vehicle found a small amount of cannabis leaf in the glove compartment.
“He said it was for his own personal use.”
Mark Layton, defending, said Oldhoff had made full and frank admissions to the officers.
“He was driving, but was not under the influence of cannabis. It was a small amount, entirely consistent with personal use.”
Magistrates ordered Oldhoff to pay £155, made up of a fine, court costs and a surcharge.
A destruction order was made for the seized drugs and grinder.
