HAVERFORDWEST’s food festival has been tantalising the tastebuds of foodies and delighting the ears of music lovers in the town centre today, May 4.

HaverFoodFest has made a move to the streets of the town centre today, between 10am and 3pm, with food companies from across Wales coming to Pembrokeshire’s county town to sell their wares at stalls throughout the streets.

Cllr Tim Evans, a member of the committee behind the festival said: “The idea is to move it into the town centre to help the traders and promote Haverfordwest and to get people into the town,”

Quay Street is set to be closed to all traffic between 8am and 5pm, there will also be vendors on Castle Square, Bridge Street, the Old Bridge and at the Riverside Shopping Centre.

Award winning cider company Afal y Graig of Port Talbot is among the stallholders, as well as local businesses including the Pembrokeshire Sea Salt Company, Cinnamon Grove Gin and Parc y Dderwen fermented foods.

The crowds are being entertained by acoustic music from a variety of local acts on two stages provided by Pure West Radio and children’s activities.
