A WHITE van driver committed no crime after it was alleged he tried to encourage a school girl toward his vehicle.

Dyfed-Powys Police investigated the suspicious incident in Letterston this morning (Friday, May 10) after a child reported it.

The schoolgirl had reported that a man in a white van gestured to her to go over to the vehicle.

He did not speak to her, and no contact was made.

The van then drove off, and the child told a member of the public what had happened.

The police have now investigated the incident and no further action will be taken.

A DPP spokesman said: "Police investigating a report of suspicious behaviour in Letterston this morning have completed their enquiries.
