A BINGO evening to raise funds for a small school in Kenya is being held at Neyland Athletic Club on Friday evening, May 17.

In 2015, Tracey Neale-Ferreira from Neyland set up the Roko 20 charity, which funds a small primary school in rural Kenya, called Roko 20 Academy, of which she is the co-founder.

Tracey said: “I have strong links with Pembrokeshire having grown up in Neyland and attended Milford Haven Grammar School. These days I spend nine months of the year in Kenya to help run the school alongside my manager, who is a Kenyan.

The remaining three months are spent in the UK working and fundraising for the school.

“The school offers a free education for the most disadvantaged children in the community and helps their guardians/parents with small income generating projects.

“We currently sponsor around 100 pupils, employ seven teachers and four staff members.

“I am currently fundraising to buy furniture and resources for our new Class 6.”
