Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Neyland 1-0 Herbrandston
Will Hughes scored a dramatic 89th minute winner for Neyland to break Herbrandston’s hearts on Saturday.
The Nomads would have been delighted to pick up what is now technically their third league win of the season, while Sean Thomas’ Herbie outfit stay on zero points.
Max Bowman-Davies hit the post in the first half for Neyland, and Andrew Smith and Geraint Rees both later drew useful saves from Jack Ackermann.
But when the game seemed to be heading for a goalless draw, Hughes produced a bit of magic.
Mike Chandler picked out the youngster, and he drilled home from the edge of the box to secure three precious points for the Nomads.
