West Wales Cup Round 2: Hakin United 12-2 Milford United

Nicky Woodrow scored four times as Hakin cruised into the next round of the West Wales Cup at the expense of local rivals Milford United.

The contest was effectively over by half time as The Vikings led 5-0, and then despite the deteriorating weather, the second half yielded nine more goals with Kristan Bennett's side eventually prevailing 12-2.

It was Woodrow who struck twice early on before Hakin centre back Mark Jones made it 3-0 in style, striking from close range with an overhead kick.

Adam John then made it four and Justin Harding completed a one sided first half with a goal just before the break.

Hakin continued to surge forward after half time and there were more two more goals for Woodrow, whilst Harding also struck twice more himself to seal a hat trick.

Jones added his second and Shane Walsh got on the scoresheet, but the goal of the game fell to Ryan Wilson, who hammered a home a free kick from 35 yards with the away defence expecting him to cross.

To the credit of The Robins, they did keep going and at least had two goals to show for their efforts. Morgan Picton headed in after a good run and cross from Harry Nicholas and Liam Parr pounced on some casual defending to also score past James Manson.

But it was The Vikings who sailed comfortably through.
