Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division One: Neyland 1-5 Goodwick United

FOUR goals in the last 20 minutes sealed a comfortable victory for league leaders Goodwick United at battling Neyland.

This victory maintained the Phoenix Lads’ two point cushion at the top of Division One, although The Nomads will take heart from a display where they were improved until the final quarter.

The visitors took an early lead when Steff Hayes’ low throw-in caused mayhem in the box and enabled Scott Delaney to head into the back of net.

However, Wayne O'Sullivan's had to wait until to 70 minute mark until they added the second, as a corner fell to Luke Raymond in the area and he steered a shot home.

Kieron Howells then pulled one back for the home side, but the leaders finished strongly with Wayne O’ Sullivan himself heading home at a corner.

Matty Delaney then struck a superb 20 yard shot that flew past Oli Marshall, who was deputising in goal with Patrick Hannon unavailable, and Jordan Griffiths got on the end of Jonny Horgan’s cross to complete the scoring.
