Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League Division One: Carew 7-1 Narberth

A stunning hat-trick by Scott Ferney and a brace from Jordan Richards helped Carew to an emphatic victory over Narberth.

The Rooks hit back after losing last week at Merlins Bridge by gaining an impressive seven goal victory over the Bluebirds.

The hosts deservedly led 3-0 at half time.

Lloyd Hughes opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a terrific 25 yard effort from a difficult angle.

Lively striker Ferney added the next two, latching onto a poor back passto score and then making no mistake with a close range finish.

After the break and Richards added a superb fourth, the striker latching onto a long ball over the top and smashing his shot into the top corner, and then added the fifth with a close range finish.

Ferney completed his treble with a clinical finish before Tony Evans was on target for a consolation goal for the visitors.

But Sam Christopher came off the bench to score and round off a big win for The Rooks.

It leaves Rob Scourfield’s side in good shape ahead of a West Wales tie with Loughor Rovers on Saturday.
