Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Goodwick United 5-0 Milford United

FIVE unanswered second half goals secured an expected victory for top of the table Goodwick United against struggling Milford at Phoenix Park.

High winds played havoc in the first half as both sides struggled to control matters, and it remained 0-0 at half time.

However, two minutes after the break and the Phoenix Lads broke the deadlock as Steven Dockerty latched onto a Jonny Horgan cross to score from close range.

Jordan Griffiths was on target with the second on the hour mark and five minutes later Lee Hudgell added a superb third, the substitute chipping Jack Nicholas from 25 yards out.

In the 75th minute the hosts grabbed a fourth, as Robins’ keeper Nicholas spilled a cross and Griffiths profited by turning in the loose ball.

Five minutes from the end Jonny Horgan drilled a shot across goal and into the far corner to wrap things up.

Wayne O’Sullivan’s team stay five points clear at the top, although will be wary the four sides below them all have games in hand.
