Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: St Clears 3-2 Clarbeston Road

St Clears edged a five-goal thriller against Clarbeston Road in awful conditions at the Leisure Centre ground.

This was the Saints’ sixth win of the season, as they sit in seventh spot in the table, while the Road now lie just one place above them.

The hosts kicked off with the elements in the favour and led 1-0 at half time, as Jonny Thomas headed in from a cross by Danny Peters.

They made it 2-0 in style early in the second half as Nathan Evans fired a shot into the top corner.

But Clarbie bounced back and Ben ‘Rocky’ John continued his good form since signing from Prendergast, scoring twice in quick succession to level matters.

But the hosts bagged the winner as Evans slotted a low shot past away keeper Sam Edge to seal the points.
