Division 1: Goodwick United 11-1 Saundersfoot Sports
Goodwick United emphatically defeated out of sorts Saundersfoot Sports at Phoenix Park.
Wayne O’Sullivan’s team improved their goal-difference with this result and they are just a point behind leaders Monkton Swifts in the table.
The hosts were 4-0 up inside 40 minutes after Rhys Dalling struck early and then Scott Delaney continued his scoring form with a penalty.
Dalling and then Jordan Griffiths scored further goals but the visitoes gave themselves a glimmer when Nick Cope beat James Gwilt from the penalty spot.
But in the second half Goodwick were relentless. Dalling added three more goals for a total of five, alongside a brace from Jonny Horgan and strikes from Lee Hudgell and James Evans.
It is now seven straight league wins for Goodwick, who remain unbeaten in the league ahead of a crucial clash with Merlins Bridge at The Racecourse on Saturday.
