Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Clarbeston Road 5-3 Herbrandston

Four goals for Jason Griffiths gave Clarbie the edge over Herbrandston, with away striker Scott Reid also grabbing a hat trick in vain.

The Road narrowly lad 2-1 at half time, Griffiths scoring the opener which was cancelled by Reid as he fired into the top corner from Lewis Nicholas' lay off.

But Ben John continued his good form for Clarbie since signing from Prendergast to make it 2-1 before half time.

Reid again levelled after the break, this time from the penalty spot after referee Bernie Armstrong spotted a handball in the area.

The end to end action continued as Griffiths struck twice more though - but again Reid pulled his side back into it when Marc Gelona’s shot was parried by home keeper Lee Scott and Reid was on hand to tap in the rebound.

That raised hopes of a unlikely point for Herbie but inevitably it was Griffiths who had the final say with his fourth of the game as Matthew Ellis' side stayed sixth in the table.

Herbie meanwhile remain bottom, and with Milford not playing this week, desperately need a result at home to Pennar on Saturday.
