The climax to an exciting day of boxing in Cardiff last weekend saw three boxers from Pembrokeshire win Welsh vests at the national Youth and Junior finals.

The Croft brothers from Cardigan ABC, both very experienced fighters, were totally dominant. Rarely troubled they showed off their skills and style, and Ioan was the first to have his arm raised after beating Maelor's Harry Roberts at 60kgs.

That might have put some pressure on brother Garan, but with similar style and grace, Garan too scored a unanimous points win against Bonymaen novice Callum Green at 64kgs.

Next up was Dylan Scott, of Pembroke ABC, against William Burton (Gelligaer) at 75kgs.

In the beginning it seemed he felt the pressure in only his eighth bout and his first final.

But although he started slowly with the twins ring-side cheering him on, he soon relaxed and started to show his capabilities before also winning his final with a unanimous decision to become national champion.
